Our stay at Le Cloitre St Joseph was like staying with friends. Inge and her husband were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Inge, who is a great cook. The house itself is full of history and has been beautifully refurbished with great attention to detail. It is quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed. Messines is a fascinating town, and we learned a lot from chatting with our hosts. it was a wonderful experience.

The village has three WWI memorials, which added a historical touch to our visit, and we were able to explore them along the Via Sacra. We had some issues with the temperature in our room upon arrival, as it was quite hot and took a few hours to cool down. the Google maps location was incorrect, causing us to drive around in circles before finding the property.
